The Euro desk covers activities in Europe assisting the European Maccabi Confederation and its very large number of Territorial Organizations consisting of 70,000 members. There are many seminars, conferences, youth and adult sport programs in Diaspora as well as educational, sport tours, Birthright missions and solidarity visits to Israel. From Maccabi Portugal to Khabarovsk, near Russo-Chinese border, the desk hears numerous dialects in English but also Turkish, Russian, French, Finnish, Swedish, Czech, Polish, German and more.
Specializes in preparing a variety of “tailor-made” sports and educational programs for a huge variety of target groups. Programs ranging from providing booklets for kids’ soccer tournaments in Scandinavia, tours of Israel for disabled youngsters and youth leadership training in Warsaw, Poland or enrichment courses for club Directors. The Desk assists the European Maccabi Games which takes place every four years since 1962, Maccabiah Delegations and also maintains constant and continuous contact at numerous levels. All the volunteer Committee members frequently travel to Confederations, Territorial Organizations, and clubs.
