Each month, we'll share a song written to honor those who sacrificed their lives to save others on October 7th, ensuring their heroic spirit lives on among us forever.
On that Saturday morning, Netta Epstein had planned to fly kites as a gesture of peace. When terrorists broke into the home of Netta and his girlfriend Irene at Kibbutz Kfar Aza, they threw a grenade into the safe room. Netta jumped on it, sacrificing his life to save the life of his beloved Ireene.
The "Heroes" project, spearheaded by singer and songwriter Gilad Segev, is a non-profit initiative celebrating Jewish heroism through music and stories. From the days of Abraham to contemporary times, the project aims to reshape perceptions of the Jewish people by highlighting their enduring acts of bravery and resilience.
