At BBYO CLCT Camp, a memorable ceremony honored the MWU graduates Kim, Shir, and Adi, who tragically passed away on October 7th. The event was filled with powerful and unique activities that touched everyone.

The ILTC summer camp hosted the “Maccabiah Camp Experience” as part of their “Maccabiah Day”, in partnership with BBYO and Maccabi OlamI. This special and unforgettable day,  led by athletes, featured dynamic clinics,  competitive sports, and a revealing panel about their journeys as Jewish Maccabi competitors. The grand finale featured a stirring closing ceremony where participants sang "Hatikvah," with athletes proudly carrying the Maccabiah torch.

The Kallah summer camp in Perlman exploded with energy during “Israel Day," hosted by the Israeli delegation and Maccabi World Movement alumni. Highlights included a high-energy festival and a stunning fire show that thrilled 200 youth. Perlman’s "Israel Day" dazzled with an exciting ties ceremony and a spectacular fire ceremony led by Maccabi graduates.

Despite the challenging security situation in Israel, which led to several changes and cancellations, the summer camp surged ahead and turned into an exhilarating week packed with adventure and inspiration!

This year, the camp's forest evolved into a powerful tribute to the victims of October 7 and the ongoing conflict. Maccabi alumni orchestrated moving commemorative exhibits and welcomed the victims' families, allowing campers to connect deeply with these stories of bravery and sacrifice. Alongside this, they learned essential life skills like camping out and navigating the great outdoors, all while forging unforgettable friendships.

The camp also buzzed with international energy as delegations from South America, Maccabi Young Finland, and American BBYO joined the festivities. These global encounters sparked vibrant exchanges and new bonds among Jewish youth worldwide.

"The skills I gained are priceless, and the values I’ve learned will guide me for life!”

Adding to the excitement, the movement's instructors' course featured an action-packed field week. Participants delved into the movement's rich history, tackled pressing issues, and embraced a range of activities. From camping under the stars to sharing endless laughs, they created extraordinary memories that will last a lifetime.

Tehila Tsagai from the Hadera branch shared her excitement about the course: “It was an unforgettable experience! We dived into fieldwork, enjoyed thrilling games and workshops, and shared amazing late-night conversations with friends old and new. This course wasn’t just a break from routine but a chance to grow, connect, and become a stronger leader. The skills and memories I gained are priceless, and the values I’ve learned will guide me for life!

First Maccabi Tzair Olami Global Gathering: A Dream Come True!

From August 5-12, despite recent challenges, our dream came true as Maccabi Tzair leaders from around the world gathered in Israel for the first Olami Gathering. Even though some flights were canceled and many couldn’t attend, about 20 dedicated educators arrived early, excited for the event.

The Gathering showed our resilience. We started strong with a dedicated group of pioneers, demonstrating our commitment to the future of the Jewish People.

In just eight days, we connected with Israel, united in our mission, and planned for future projects. Special thanks to MWU’s Ginette Bar-Levav, Analia Grauer, Daniela Hochman, Alan Cohen Falah, Rony Eichner, and Eyal Klotzman for their hard work, guided by MWU Deputy CEO Rabbi Carlos Tapiero, and to MWU CEO Amir Gissin and Taglit for their fantastic support.

Our educators left feeling energized and ready to create new programs and prepare for the next Maccabi Tzair Gathering. We’re proud of our amazing Maccabi Young Leaders.

Chazak ve’ematz!
